What inspired you to name the first track Mama’s Prayer?
Mama’s Prayers is a special one because we’ve really been through tough times both me and my mum, so this is her showering me her blessings and stuff you feel me.
Can you tell us the story behind the entire EP?
The story behind love and lust is actually what the name of the EP talks about. There’s love but funny enough alot of people are actually lust over their partners and not really in love.
After such a long break, what made you decide that now is the right time to release new music?
Well it just occurred to me that I needed to put out this project and summer is actually the right time for this kind of sounds in this EP.
How has your approach to music changed since your last release?
The love and growth has been incredible really grateful to God and my supporters.
What message do you want your listeners to take away from this EP?
I need them to understand that there’s actually real love and they shouldn’t hide the truth about true love.
Was there a specific moment during your break that motivated you to return to the studio?
I was always recording. I got alot of songs …like alot.
What challenges did you face in the process of creating this EP?
Creating visuals.
How do you think your fans will react to this new sound after your break?
They’ll love it
Who were your major influencers while creating this EP?
Nobody actually it’s sounds from within.
What is your favorite track on the EP and why?
Mama’s Prayers. It’s so special
How did your experiences during the break shape the music in this EP?
Crazy experience dawg wild ones.
Your tracklist show just one feature, that is track 3 “CHAMPAGNE GIRL” ft Indriza, who is this artist, how did you find out that this artist will give you the best on your track?
Well I and Indriza recorded ‘Champagne Girl’ last year. He’s my bro and I feel this song gave a different perspective of his sound. Should I say, I made him sing differently like he used to.
What is the significance of ‘Mama’s Prayer’ to you personally?
It signifies a mother’s love and undying desire for her son to make it, she believes in me.
What’s the overall vibe or genre of the EP?
Love and Lust is Afrobeats to me.
How does your mom feel about having a song named after her? Is she already demanding royalties?
She loves it, royalties ? She even paid me.
If you could describe your EP as a type of food, what would it be and why?
Spaghetti cos I love spaghetti.
What’s the strangest piece of advice you’ve received about getting back into music?
You are a star don’t back down.
Should we be expecting any music visual off this project?
For sure last track has a visual and fire too.
