A Facebook user, Reuben Christian has come out to states that Anyim Vera that was labeled
lier while giving testimony in viral video by Pastor Paul Enenche actually graduated from National open University with Third Class Honour.
Reuben Christian said, “it’s disheartening that Anyim Vera was dismissed by Papa Paul Enenche because she couldn’t speak English like lawyers. She was labeled a liar for mistakenly saying B.Sc instead of LLB without proper verification. Papa Paul reacted instead of responding, highlighting the vulnerability of a leader. While it’s okay to be vulnerable at times, accepting responsibility is crucial.
“At this juncture, Papa Paul must acknowledge this responsibility and demonstrate leadership by apologizing to Vera for branding her a liar, disregarding her, and publicly disgracing her on stage during Sunday service.
“Vera actually graduated with a Third Class at NOUN. I verified this personally. She’s an advanced individual, one of the elderly who returned to school. Having witnessed many such individuals struggle academically during my time as an undergraduate, I understand why she may struggle with English fluency.
“The hypocrisy of many church members is surprising. They celebrated when the other man took the mic to complete Vera’s testimony, acknowledging her as the first in her family to graduate, yet contradicted themselves when Papa Paul questioned her English proficiency by answering NO to the question of if this is how lawyers speak English.
“The question of not knowing whether it’s LLB or B.Sc isn’t even necessary at this point. Even some younger undergraduates and graduates still find it difficult to know this. Funny right? But it’s true.
“Once again, the rejected stone can become the cornerstone. We’re reminded not to look down on anyone. I can’t imagine what Vera endured throughout the service. Was she still able to worship God? How shattered must she have felt to be disgraced by her spiritual leader in such a manner?
“She’s no. 2262 on the list.
“Dear Dunamites, Vera deserves better now!” Christian added
