Tolulope Michael, is a proud US based Nigerian techpreneur and Cyber Security professional who has disclosed that the job opportunity in Cybersecurity workspace is huge and open for as many youths who wants to learn the skill and be employable.
Michael, in a briefing said he is driven by a desire to raise an army of other techpreneurs to reduce unemployment in the society.
“The global cyber security market size was estimated at USD 202.72 billion in 2022 and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.3% from 2023 to 2030.”He added.
To realize his goal of empowering others and reducing unemployment among youths, in 2022, he founded ExcelMind Cyber, a cybersecurity training hub
based in the United States and impacting Africans in diaspora.
The statement revealed that with over a decade of experience working in Fortune 50
companies, Michael is not just a cybersecurity whiz but a game-changer for more than
1,000 looking to switch lanes into the world of cybersecurity.
The statement said Michael left the shores of Nigeria a few years ago after graduating as a Computer Science student from the Lagos State University.
The Cyber Security professional who started more than ten years ago, has risen to the top of his career. His journey of innovation, excellence, hard work, and a belief in
the power of cybersecurity education is seeing the light of day.
He said: What makes me stand out is my knack for mentoring. Through the Cybersecurity program, I have had the privilege to train and mentor about 1,000 non-techies, guiding them through the cyber security space. ” He disclosed.
Speaking on his impact among Africans in diaspora he noted.
“I want to be a bridge, connecting dreams to the digital frontier.
My track record isn’t just about mentorship; it’s about helping them land jobs that can help them financially stable.
The statement further disclosed that
many of his students are now financially independent and are no longer liabilities as a result of the skills learnt as cybersecurity experts.
Concluding he said, Government can do more to mitigate against unemployment if they support and channel resources in giving to the youths the opportunity to get empowered in the tech space and more especially, Cybersecurity
